Probably all of you have heard of International Typographic Style, also known as Swiss Style, a well known among designers graphic style which originally comes from Switzerland and was developed in 1950s. This style in design combines cleanliness, readability and what is very important today objectivity.
Today we would like to present to your attention a very inspiring project called Swissted. This project was started by graphic designer Mike Joyce, who is also the owner of Stereotype design, a graphic design studio located in New York city. Many of the examples presented below were redesigned by Mike from vintage punk, hardcore, and indie rock show flyers into International Typographic Style posters. Each design is set in Berthold Akzidenz Grotesk medium, all lowercase. Hope you will enjoy the mastery of this great designer together with the specific features of Swiss Style!
