Mind Blowing Art by Matei Apostolescu

When searching the web for some inspiration we came across an undoubtedly great and talented artist, his name is Matei Apostolescu. He is a freelance illustrator and graphic designer based in Bucharest, Romania, EU. His works are really intricate and beautiful to wander at. When creating illustration he uses complex shapes and patterns and pays a lot of attention to the smallest details, as detail has always been one of his favorite things.

The passion to drawing appeared as he learned to hold a pencil in his hand. He started as a graffiti artist and moved from web design to illustration and found a source of inspiration in polymer clay modeling and animation. For some reasons clay modeling might be considered as a hobby in contradistinction from illustration, but Matei stated that it taught him a lot of things about perspective and form, and that it’s a great way to enrich a designer’s experience with digital art.
